Massimo Copenhagen bespoke rugs at Langelinieskuret

For the Langelinieskuret project by Karberghus / Office Club, in collaboration with architect David Thulstrup, we were invited to contribute a bespoke rugs.  Rooted in natural materials and a quiet, considered palette, the rug traces the character of the interior, inviting pause and grounding movement without ever overwhelming the ensemble.

Langelinieskuret is a long, historic quay building that stretches nearly 350 meters along the water in Copenhagen’s Frihavn, originally built in 1894 as part of the city’s free port and named for its role as a warehouse on the harbour promenade. Today it is being revitalised under Karberghus with a vision to bring the building back to its former life as a destination of quality, commerce and encounter.

At Massimo, we approach each rug as a piece of architecture in its own right: material first, mindful of scale and place, designed to deepen the experience of the room rather than define it. In Langelinieskuret, this notion resonates: an informal hub of life and craft, set within a building that celebrates both history and the potential of what happens when spaces are brought thoughtfully back to life.
